Your mission as Reservations Intern
As Reservations Intern, you are the voice that creates guest delight on the first contact. After being trained to deliver Sincerely Elegant Service, you surprise and already welcome our guests from a distance. You make the first impactful impression and the guest can hear you smile as you walk them through our house and offers. As a Reservations Intern for the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent quality of customer service is provided to the guests in accordance with the Waldorf Astoria Sincerely Elegant Service Standards.
What will I be doing?
As a Reservations Intern for the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent quality of customer service is provided to the guests in accordance with the Waldorf Astoria Sincerely Elegant Service Standards.
· Acceptance and entry of reservations by telephone, fax and email
· Cancel / updating of reservations via the OnQ system
· Exact knowledge and correct application of various rates
· Handling tasks through a daily checklist
· Correct management of reservation documents
· Observance of the established standards of service
· Adherence to company credit policies
· Ensure Quality Checks on existing reservations
· Set up/ maintain an efficient filing system
· Taking note of special requests/ wishes of guests and making sure that these are followed for room reservations and restaurant reservations according to standards
What are we looking for?
· Student currently studying a MBO/HBO education, preferably Hotel school (internship must be part of current education.)
· Traineeship: a minimum period of 6 months.
· Fluency in the English language
