What are you going to do?
Are you interested in a team lead position within the heart of our Seed Operations department? Do you have experience in managing teams on an operational base, working on continuous improvements, and feeling for financial processes in a dynamic environment? Then you are the right interim candidate for this job.
As Team Lead Settlements you are in the lead for motivating, developing, and coaching the settlements team and a settlement project specialist. The settlement team is part of the contracting department which is responsible for the contracting of seed productions at third party producers and growers. The Settlements team works closely with the finance and production departments. The production department is responsible for the production of the right amount of high-quality seeds. This department consists of both production specialists and production support where the first group is responsible for technical knowledge and raising this knowledge both internally and externally, the latter is responsible for the administrative tasks supporting that process.
You will, together with the different teams, support and guide the seed production team and finance team by both ensuring a smooth flow in the contracting/purchase to pay process and leading the optimization of this process.
In short this means:
Motivate, develop and coach the settlement team to deliver correct, complete settlements in time;
Act as a point of contact between finance, settlement and production team to ensure smooth process;
Coach and develop the project specialist to ensure we deliver the projects in time and complete;
Contribute to the improvement of the decision-making based on this process.
In this position, you will report to the Global Contracting Manager.
Your power
As Team Lead Settlements you know how to lead, coach and motivate the team whilst delivering results. You enjoy being a sparring partner for our finance department and have a hands-on approach. You are able to steer projects in the right direction and can easily switch from helicopter view to details.
The strong people & project management skills you bring, help you to encourage the team in the right direction. You easily inspire and have good influencing skills (stakeholder management). An analytical and problem-solving mind are key capabilities to succeed in this role. Furthermore, you have excellent communication skills in both oral and written Dutch and English.
In short, you:
- Have an educational background in a business-related area (bachelor level);
- have multiple years of experience as a project (team) lead, preferably within a financial domain;
- have strong people management skills;
- have excellent project management experience;
- have experience in Purchase to Pay/Contract to Pay is desired;
- Are available at short notice.
