Your role
As a Business Process Engineer you work within the Functional Discipline Engineering. You are responsible for improving the business process by helping to increase quality, shorten lead time and reduce costs, by carefully applying process optimization. Within the department you have a leading role in maintaining and furthering continuous improvement. In addition, you will work on a project basis to implement improvements within the entire operational process of the Functional Discipline Engineering and the connection to other Product Market Groups and Functional Disciplines.
In this position you report to the Manager Support Office.
Your responsibilities
- In the context of continuous improvement, you take the initiative in developing and recording new process agreements and keeping existing agreements up-to-date;
- You lead larger improvement projects that you carry out, together with other colleagues from the department;
- You maintain good connections organization throughout, to act as a point of contact for
cross-departmental improvements;
- You actively contribute to policy and issues related to process optimization, planning;
- You help to set the policy and direction of the Functional Discipline Engineering;
Skills and Experience
IHC is in full development. That is why we are looking for someone with the following profile for this position:
- You work and think at HBO level;
- You have an HBO or WO diploma in a Business Administration or Technical direction;
- You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience (preferably in shipbuilding);
- Owning a Lean (Six Sigma) Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus;
- You have strong analytical skills;
- You are broadly interested in technology, processes and organizations;
- Given the nature of the position, characteristics such as persuasiveness, natural superiority and style flexibility are very important;
- You can function well in a team and are able to communicate clearly about expectations and goals to your colleagues at all levels;
- You get the trust of the people around you because you combine expertise with good communication skills;
- Communicating in Dutch and English is no problem for you;
- You are proficient with office packages such as Word and Excel.
To be eligible for this position you need to have an EU work visa.
