As a Structural Engineer you are key in designing and calculating the global and local hull construction of our state of the art vessels, from concept to production ready plans. You are working as a member of an interdisciplinary team responsible for designing the vessel according specifications and class requirements. As a structural engineer you will be:
- Creating the integral structural design of a vessel according to specifications, rules and regulations, yard standards
- performing global and local strength analysis, occasionally fatigue analysis
- validate the structural design by applying finite element analysis
- making sure that you deliver production friendly designs, together with your team
You are:
- in possession of a diploma from a higher, practical education institution
- a good communicator and can navigate international environment efficiently
- an advocate for hands-on, practical, no-nonsense attitude: you see solutions instead of bottlenecks
- a driven professional who has experience in structural design, namely finite element analysis, strength analysis and delivering production friendly designs
- proactively proposing solutions, fit for purpose
