As a HVAC Engineer you are an integral part of our basic engineering team within the FD Engineering.
In this function you are responsible for the set-up of the HVAC installation on board of our vessels. You are the linking pin between the selected HVAC sub-contractor and the team. Supervisory and support the engineering process of the sub-contractor in such way that the installation is executed according the specification and the relevant information is on time to integrate in the basic and detail engineering.
As a HVAC Engineering you are responsible for:
Making an application specification and demarcation of the required HVAC installation based on the technical specification of the dredging/offshore or defense vessel.
Making the necessary transmission and additional calculations.
Together with our purchase department, you come to motivated choices for suppliers, on technical, qualitative and commercial base.
Monitoring, guiding and directing the subcontractor in information flows, planning and technical execution.
The execution of the installation within time, specifications and demarcations conform class approvals and national authorities.
Timely delivery of information for integration of the HVAC installation in systems en demarcations as part of the basic engineering team.
The input of the HVAC installation in PDM and ERP systems.
Facilitate and support detailed engineering for HVAC system implementation in 3D CAD model.
Checking, evaluating and possibly improving the 3D CAD model in close cooperation with detail engineering and HVAC supplier.
Job requirements:
In possession of a diploma from a practical or higher education institution with a mechanical background and additional HVAC study
3-5 years of experience within the shipbuilding or maritime industry and climate and energy technic.
Experience with 2D and/or 3D CAD software.
A good communicator - the ability to work efficiently and smoothly in a complex, international work environment.
Proactively proposing solutions, fit for purpose.
The motivation to learn Dutch in case you don't speak it yet.
To be eligible for this position you must have an EU work visa.
