As Portfolio Manager Services, your core responsibility is managing and developing the service portfolio on a tactical level. This position is part of the Sales department within the Functional Discipline Services and Spare Parts. FD Services provides a broad range of services that enable customers in the maritime industry to operate in a safe, sustainable and efficient way. We can do so by knowing our customers and understanding their operations. Therefore, it is key to work closely with our colleagues in the field and within the Royal IHC organisation (for example FD Sales, PMG Dredge Equipment and FD Project Management). Services projects range between relatively small one-man inspections up to larger than 25 person maintenance and operate contracts.
The product portfolio is defined within the business strategy; your biggest focus in implementing this strategy will be on standardization, service modules and customer value. As Portfolio Manager Services, you are the initiator of development projects. Furthermore, you lead in product proposition, general pricing and promotion of service products and services itself. In this role, you are bringing the market and Royal IHC together, focused on operational use of Royal IHC assets. Together with colleagues, you determine the planning and priority to invest in services and service management. It is important to uphold a good mix of added value and acceptable risks. As a Portfolio Manager Services, you work closely with the management team, operational departments and sales/proposal management. Servitization and customer intimacy are your second nature: you are willing to invest in long term relationships.
As a Portfolio Manager Services you will be responsible for:
Determining the portfolio to add value for the customer so they can retain a competitive position
Developing the product roadmap within the portfolio, set goals and lead a multidisciplinary team of specialists to achieve these goals
Managing the budget for development within the product owners and specialists
Doing market research, seeing opportunities and create business cases for new products based on market needs and developments in technological possibilities
Based on the market research you determine quality requirements, give internal and external advice, and seek partnership for specific services and activities
Coordinating embedding lessons learned and customer feedback to product development and project execution.
Bachelor degree, combined with a technical background
At least 3 years of working experience in a similar role
Analytically strong with an eye for details
You are willing to travel
