In this challenging position you will engineer complete power systems for the vessels build at Royal IHC. Together with the Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for concept and basic and detail engineering.
For this, we are looking for a colleague who gains energy by getting the job done. You work in a project team and will advising, instructing and supporting our complete engineering team.
As a System Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Supporting Technical Sales by translating customer requirements into clear system requirements and/or system concepts
- Act as a system engineer in complex, high-risk pilot projects and/or systems
- You actively get feedback from the organization to continuously optimize the concepts and last but not least you act as 3rd line support for all disciplines.
Job requirements:
- You have completed a WO/HBO education in the direction of Electrical Engineering, Maritime Technology, Energy Technology or similar, supplemented with subject-specific courses
- ~5 years of relevant experience in technical advice/design in the field of electrical marine systems and the design, calculation, simulation and specification of requirements and functionality of these systems
- You are a specialist in one or more fields: Drive systems (propulsion, hoisting installations), Power electronics, Electrical Machines, Grid Conversion
- You have good coaching skills, you are analytically strong, you have creative ability and you have a helicopter overview
- Thinking in Systems, System components, black box approach and Systems Engineering is a clear advantage
