We offer a challenging position of Service support engineer!
As a Service support engineer for our Dredging equipment you will assist IHC Services with problems that arise while our equipment is in use by our clients. You are responsible for carrying our second-line service support within our service department in cooperation with our engineering department. You will analyze service calls, propose creative solutions, build test environments and install & test new (revised) software. During the entire process you will be point of contact for our service department and/or our customers. You will give support on PLC controls, field sensors, SCADA operations and PC networks. Running a consignment service is also part of the job.
You will mostly work from our office in Sliedrecht and occasionally perform your tasks on board of dredging vessels. You are going to work with an enthusiastic new team that is varying between 4 till 6 persons.

Job requirements:
- A Higher vocational education
- Three years of work experience in a similar role, preferably in the Marine industry
- Extensive technical knowledge on PLC & SCADA systems
- Excellent communications skills in Dutch and English

IHC Systems:
As a Service support engineer, you will work at IHC Systems. Which is based in Sliedrecht with over a 100 employees. IHC Systems develops and supplies standard and custom-built solutions for the efficient operation of dredgers and related vessels. These are deployed in the marine dredging industry and for the mining of alluvial and deep-sea resources. The electrical, electronic and IT systems involve anything from robust sensors to stand-alone and/or integrated systems for service, presentation, automation, hydrography and DP/DT, supported by training simulators. Global life-cycle support - either remote or on location - guarantees durability and reliability.
