The Category Manager Business Support will create business cases for NPR spend and challenge other IHC functionalities and departments, safeguarding an objective analysis and countering any predefined preference by the business to select a certain supplier. With an annual spend around the EUR 100m+ mark this category represents a large amount of spend. Subcategories include amongst others production consumables and equipment but also a wide array of professional services (ICT, Logistics, Facilities, Leasing, Travel, Professional Services, Marketing & Communication etc.). In your role you will also work in close consultation with different parts of the IHC organisation.
Responsibilities
Responsible for cost efficient sourcing of high quality Non Project Related (NPR) procurement items and services.
Creating relationships with key suppliers that bring sustainability, knowledge, efficiency and standardization into the IHC network.
You will:
actively bring down the current number of 1,800+ suppliers
close cost efficient framework supply agreements with the key suppliers who represent the largest part of the annual spend
effectively manage the tail of suppliers with smaller spend
monitor and control the procurement process, whilst pushing for increased simplicity and efficiency
effectively manage spend in an environment where currently different IT systems are being used.
Managing a team of 3 category managers, effectively allocating the work and motivating team members whilst allocating responsibilities and applying accountability.
