Job description
Responsibility as part of the store logistics team for the integration of IKEA supply quality, health and safety standards in the goods flow process and customer delivery processes.
Your assignment
- You will safeguard the quality of all logistics processes to ensure that no damaged products reach the customer.
- You will provide feedback on loading quality to supplier and claim as much as possible to reduce internal damages.
- You will help secure that the logistics operation is carried out according to regulations and mandatories, that procedures and follow - ups are implemented and that the store is operating in compliance during all hours.
- You will also secure that the condition of the product is neat, clean and tidy to ensure fantastic shopping experience for customer and increase confidence quality of the product to customer.
- Be the ambassador for the highest possible quality perception for visitors, customers by correct execution of the goods flow processes, keeping customer-perceived availability in focus.
- Secure implementation of the Supply Quality "Detect-Correct-Report" way of working in all parts of logistics operation with a zero tolerance approach towards non-compliant goods meeting the customer
- Work together with business (e.g. Safety & Security, Recovery, Customer Relations), supply chain partners (e.g. Quality Support Centre, DS, Transport) and external service providers (e.g. Racking-Equipment service providers), with regards to quality, safety and health related topics.
- Lead and influence all goods flow co-workers to secure that the department works in compliance with Global Risk Manual/Safety & security Manual, IKEA internal regulations and local legislation relating to quality, health, safety and environment in relation to the goods flow processes.
- Ensure warehouse racking, handling equipment and unit load inspections are conducted according to local legislations and IKEA requirements. Assess the goods flow processes in the area of health, safety and quality and share findings with the Logistics Manager.
- You will act as a representative in discussions with the HR department regarding the planning and management of annual training programs for employees (such as forklift license renewal, ergonomics, etc.).
- You will help enhance workplace safety within the logistics department by raising awareness of safety during operations, effectively reducing workplace accidents, and ensuring a more efficient and impactful implementation of safety measures.
Qualification
Your profile
- You have at least 2-3 years of experience in working in a retail and/or logistics role, with previous experience of managing people.
- You are able to develop the business, deliver result, lead, and develop people together. You must have the experience of implementing action plans, providing clear direction and follow up goals.
- Ability to lead based on performing and delivering through team/stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to build trust and communicate in a clear and targeted way with different people in different situations.
- Ability to manage a high volume and agile retail environment, reaching the desired effect or results.
- Ability to follow up and optimize operational performance while considering tactical plans.
- Understand how my safety engagement/work positively affects the IKEA BRAND.
