- Create solution designs for complex business scenarios involving multiple application systems in multiple (cloud) environments involving multiple customers.
- Create solution designs for services included in the Global API Catalog based on prioritization of our Global Product owners.
- Motivate, inspire, and facilitate scrum teams of solution architects and developers securing application and API Architecture alignment and proper development of solutions adhering to Reference Architectures.
- Establish a Community of Practice for fellow architects and senior developers to share knowledge on application and API architecture.
- Ensure API architecture and API design standards are embedded in the Delivery Teams across the globe.
- Actively contribute to improve the Enterprise Architecture by closely cooperating with Enterprise Architecture and peer architects.
- Create and maintain architecture models in ArchiMate.
- Ensure the baseline Architecture and API architecture is always up to date and meets the DLL ArchiMate modelling standards.
- Keep track of modern trends in API architecture and digital channels.
- A thought leader on Application and API architecture, aware of latest technology and market best practices and very able to support and coach your peer architects on your area of expertise.
- An IT Architect with over 5 years of experience in Application and API Architecture, preferably in the international Financial Services Industry dealing with the increasingly digital needs of customers.
- Accountable for the quality of applications and API by providing professional guidance and by performing quality assurance activities.
- A networker, responsible for developing and maintaining the Reference Architecture for Applications and APIs for DLL that connects to the needs of all stakeholders.
- Pragmatic, able to balance long-term strategic direction with short-term needs. You are result-driven and apply expert judgment to decide when to submit an exception to an architecture standard to drive business change forward.
- Comfortable in working in an Agile delivery model enabling fast delivery of the investment portfolio continuously ensuring strategy objectives are achieved as well.
- An Excellent communicator who can easily interact with management in the domain, able to convey complex process and IT subjects in senior management terminology.
- The coach for peer architects and developers in DLL who stimulates their professional development while driving the adoption of architecture in the team.
- Open to learning, always having an outside-in view focused on the customer to ensure that the Architecture of the domain anticipates timely on market developments and customer needs.
- A thought-leader, able to proactively align the Process Architecture with the Enterprise Architecture.

- Over 5 years of experience in Application and API Architecture preferably in the financial industry, including Cloud-native application development and lifecycle management.
- Experience with a variety of applications integration patterns.
- Experience with microservices architecture, SOAP and RESTful (API) services.
- Proven experience with Azure Integration iPaaS.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management, CI/CD, Application health and performance Monitoring, Logging etc.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database management.
- Familiarity with object-oriented design principles and coding practices, such as encapsulation and inheritance.
