Are you looking for the next step in your career? As our new Senior Consultant Green Ports, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of sustainable port development. You will ensure that our clients are not only prepared for the challenges of today but also those that may arise in the next decade and beyond.
What you do as a Senior Consultant Green Ports
Ports around the world are under increasing pressure to be more sustainable. They face a wide range of challenges, including the shift towards Net-Zero emissions, optimising operational efficiency to cater to rising public and industrial demands, and addressing social concerns like the strain on local infrastructure and adverse effects on human health. Our team specialises in assisting clients in navigating these challenges. For instance, we created a Green Port Policy for the Tanzanian ports to mitigate the impact of climate change and improve their environmental practices. We've also provided advice to ports in the United Kingdom on how to enhance air quality.
In your new role as Senior Consultant Green Ports, you will contribute to further developing our services in this emerging field. You will play a crucial role within our team, leveraging your expertise and building upon our existing knowledge. You will serve as one of our primary consultants in the field of Green Ports, representing our organisation and vision to clients, partners and stakeholders. During our projects, you provide technical oversight and direction during the development of ports and their assets. In order to do this, you will:
- Collaborate with clients across the maritime and related sectors.
- Work closely with public and private landowners, authorities, and operators to ensure that sustainability remains a central focus throughout the decision-making process - from policy shaping and strategic planning to the design and operational phases of project delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and develop innovative solutions for port and terminal projects focusing on sustainability and resilience. This involves working closely with engineers, maritime environmental specialists, and other colleagues within the organisation to collectively shape the future of the port sector.
- Ensure high-quality results that exceed our client's expectations and leave them highly satisfied.
