Intern, Infotainment Testing

Position Objective

The Intern supports the Infotainment validation team by conducting automotive pre-series testing and prototype SW-development in cooperation with test engineers and/or according to the OEM’s proprietary testing systems and methodologies. This internship is full-time and a minimum commitment of 6 months in duration.

Tasks

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist with manual reporting for project management reports.
• Automate manual reports using Power BI, including data collection from our project management websites.
• Implement test cases and support testing operations.
• Review all test cases and identify those that are non-market specific, outdated, or redundant.
• Provide general support to the team on various tasks and projects.
• Support conducting automotive pre-series testing operations and perform quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
• Document workflows of existing and new applications, processes, and packages using Jira Confluence.
• Assist testers and application administrators in daily support tasks and projects.
• Support the team with data handling and verification of information gathered for testing.
• Identify test cases that can be automated.
• Assist with projects and initiatives related to Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Dashboards, and data-driven applications.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics or comparable curriculum.
• Must be at least a Junior in undergraduate studies

Experience:

• Porsche Experience helpful
• Automotive experience helpful
• Software Development experience helpful
• Administrative experience helpful
• SQL and database skills is a plus
• Atlassian Confluence & Jira is a plus
• Python, PyCharm, Microsoft Power Platform is a plus
• ISTQB certification is a plus

Physical requirements

• Comfortable with physical exertion for 3 – 5 hour intervals
• Comfortable standing and walking for 3 – 5 hour intervals
• Ability to travel long distances in aircraft or via automobile (5+ hours)
• This job operates in a test bench and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, move, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift.

The Pay Range for this position is between $19.00 per hour to $21.00 per hour dependent on education status.
