The Process Engineer (f/m/d) for Cytiva is responsible for our Global DA standard automated platform system.
This position is part of the Biotech Organization, located in Dreieich, Germany and will be an on-site role. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Design authority - act as global subject matter expert for one or more standard platform systems. You will provide the design standards and technical guidance to other regions and functions within the Cytiva Biotech organization, as well as the technical elements and interface for the complete product life cycle of the defined platform systems.
Analyze customer process user requirements specification for engineered process equipment (including different technologies such as direct flow filtration, tangential flow filtration, chromatography) used in the Biopharmaceutical industry.
As technical partner of a project team: you will discuss, propose, define final engineered technical system solution with the customer including writing technical part of quotation and associated costing. After Order placement you will execute the proposed engineered system solution based on agreed and defined contractual specification together with a defined project team as project manager or process engineer.
The focus of the project work is on standard system with customization and work in project teams to provide unit operations for fully integrated solution projects.
The essential requirements of the job include:
BSc/MSc or equivalent in Biochemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent. A higher degree or secondary degree in a related subject would be an advantage.
Minimum 2 years of experience of process engineering / project management of downstream equipment used in Biopharmaceutical manufacturing including large scale and complex projects involving the integration of multiple systems.
Experience in the design and engineering of process equipment for filtration, separation and purification equipment (e.g. Direct or tangential flow, filtration, chromatography systems and columns) used in a downstream & upstream process.
Ability to communicate effectively on sophisticated technical / engineering issues at the highest level with internal as well as external customers.
Ability to travel up to 30 % if required.
Fluency in English language (written and spoken); German would be a plus.
