The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a(n) Product Engineer (m/f/*) you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Managing projects for commercialized Medical Surgical Business products made at our Kamen plant.
- Acting as the primary product liaison between the MSD laboratory, manufacturing plants, suppliers and other concerned functions for the products under responsibility.
- Assuring the commercialized product design intent and product integrity as materials, processes, methods, and regulations evolve.
- Supporting product programs that positively impact service, quality and product cost. Lead or support transfer of new product designs to manufacturing.
- Driving continuous/quality improvement and PPU projects.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- University degree in a relevant scientific/engineering discipline (Chemistry, Materials Science, Biotechnology, Chemical/Medical/Mechanical Engineering etc.)
- Experience in the processing and characterization of materials like films, nonwovens, adhesives.
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Relevant work experience in a product service/development, QA or similar role for medical devices or other regulated products
- Full working English language proficiency, German language required
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Strong organization, communication and documentation skills.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
- Pre-existing statistical process control and industrial experimentation knowledge
Work location: Kamen, eligible for hybrid model (job duties allow for some remote work but require regular presence on site)
Travel: May include up to 10%, primarily within Europe
