Job Description
The Accounting Team in Dreilinden, Germany is part of the Shared Services Center in Bern, Switzerland, which is in charge of accounting for currently 56 European entities (and growing). We are a lively international team of accountants thriving at achieving the highest quality and compliance in our daily activities.
We are looking for an Indirect Tax Compliance (ITC) Accounting Supervisor.
What you will accomplish
- Supporting the larger ITC team in the area of tax compliance and accounting while coordinating with regional, functional teams to ensure consistency and standardization of global processes.
- Preparation and review of transaction level working papers supporting various global filings, including VAT filings for several EMEA entities and regions, Sales and Use tax filings for our U.S. Operations, and various other, global, indirect tax obligations.
- Supporting the ITC team with the regular monthly close process as well as externally facing statutory reporting activities.
- Maintaining premier reconciliations of all G/L accounts and integrity of financial statements at a transaction level.
- Supervising compliance related activities performed by various third-party support teams
- Demonstrate a proven track record to manage projects, operational improvements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver results.
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA / ACCA, CIMA is a plus.
- Strong technical accounting background.
- At least five years general ledger accounting and indirect tax compliance experience is required.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills as well as SAP Financial System experience, or other ERP.
- Great teammate and ability to work independently and handling challenges and tight deadlines with ease.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout Company organization.
- Fluent in English and German (B2+ ) required.
