to join one of our agile Scrum teams in our offices in Neuenstein (Hesse), Eschborn, Bad Hersfeld, Kassel or fully remote! As a DevOps Engineer in our Platform Engineering Team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and the platform products that power our business solutions. You will collaborate closely with the engineering teams to provide golden paths and blueprints which will be used to streamline the deployment processes to reduce complexity and accelerate deployment times.
What can you expect with us? Infrastructure Management: Maintain and optimize our Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and performance.
CI/CD Pipelines: Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes and minimize downtime.
Platform Solutions: Oversee the configuration, deployment, upgrade and management of our platform products including Google Apigee for API management, Dynatrace for observability, Kafka for event streaming and many more.
Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to improve infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and deployment.
Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering team to provide support and solutions for various infrastructure and platform needs for their applications.
Monitoring & Alerting: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting processes to ensure timely identification and resolution of issues.
Security & Compliance: Ensure that all platform solutions and infrastructure components adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
What do you bring to the table?
- Experience: Several years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or a related role.
- Education: a computer sciences or information sciences degree, or a comparable training
- Skills:
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Atlantis or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with IaC and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation.
- Solid experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Familiarity with Confluent Kafka, Google Apigee and/or Lobster is a plus.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed environment.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Mindset: Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.
- Communication: Ability to understand and present complex ideas in English. German language is a plus.
