Position overview
The Workshop Manager oversees the Motorsport workshop and the dyno operations of the organization. This includes the race car engine rebuild workshop, the race car gearbox rebuild workshop and the historic race workshop operations. The central role of the position is to manage the day-to-day operations and to provide leadership and supervision of the workshop team.
The employee in this capacity is responsible for adequate quality management and an efficient workshop management.
Roles & responsibilities
The primary functions of this role are as follows:
Leadership:
- Forming and leading a team
- Continuously development of social and professional team member skills
- Perform yearly individual performance reviews
General:
- Ensure the fulfillment of PMNAs targets
- Ensure legal compliance
- Definition and continuously optimization of processes and standards to ensure efficiency
- Monthly report of appropriate KPIs
- Continuously development of department and business opportunities
- Achieving the highest level of quality in the motorsport workshop operations
Individual:
- Establishing and maintain an efficient QM system
- Ensure OSHA compliance and record keeping
- Plan and manage customer orders
- Provide procedure guidelines and technical information for technicians
- Sub supplier management
- Plan and maintenance on all building and workshop equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Education and certifications:
- Master's degree in engineering, business administration, Technical Automotive School degree or equivalent education and experience
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in workshop operation and racing, 8 years as professional in automobile industry

Percentage of required travel: 10%
Schedule/Shift: 40 weekly hours
Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
- This job operates in an automotive workshop and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, automotive parts at operational temperature and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud.

The salary for this position is commensurate with the candidate's experience and falls within the range of $115,000 to $165,000 per year.
