As an SAP Manufacturing Junior Consultnat, you will be responsible for providing support and maintenance for our SAP Manufacturing Systems (SAP ME, MII, PP, QM, MM, PM). You will work closely with the production team to ensure the uninterrupted operation of these systems and provide timely resolutions to any issues that may arise. Training will be provided to perform this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP Manufacturing Support: Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for SAP Manufacturing systems and integration points to other systems/ equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving production issues in a timely manner.
- On-Site Support: As required, be on-site at the production plant to provide assistance and support to production teams during business hours. There is potential for 25% or less travel.
- Incident Management: Log and track incidents, and follow established procedures for incident resolution, escalation to L3 support teams, and documentation.
- System Monitoring: Monitor SAP Manufacturing systems to ensure optimal performance and proactively identify potential issues.
- User Training: Provide basic training to end-users and production staff to help them navigate SAP Manufacturing interfaces effectively.
- Documentation: Maintain documentation of support processes, procedures, and issue resolutions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with SAP experts and external consultants to implement system enhancements and upgrades.
- Adherence to Best Practices: Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and industry standards in manufacturing support.
- Shift Coverage: The plant will be operational from 6AM to 7PM Pacific time. The East coast team will cover 9AM to 5PM Eastern; the West coast team will cover 11AM to 7PM Pacific.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in manufacturing, SAP support or a related role.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, quality and plant maintenance processes and procedures.
- Basic understanding of SAP modules/systems such as PP (Production Planning), MM (Materials Management), QM (Quality Management), PM (Plant Maintenance), SAP ME (Manufacturing Execution), and SAP MII (Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Flexible and adept at rapid learning.
- Willingness to work on-site as needed at the production plant in Redmond, WA, if local, or occasional travel to the plant if remote.
- SAP certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of other SAP modules or related manufacturing software is a nice-to-have.
